Summer and Fall Craft Beers Make August Great
August is a month of last chances.
It’s the last chance for summer vacations, summer romance(s), and it’s also the last chance to try those summer craft beers you weren’t able to try.
And while you enjoy the fleeting tastes and aromas of summer’s final brews, know that fall is not only right around the corner but beginning to appear on the shelves right here at Old Line.
That’s right, August is also the time to start tasting fall’s seasonal craft brews as they roll into Old Line.
It’s the best of both worlds.
Really, when is better than right now for beer lovers in the DMV? We still have summer seasonals, we’re getting the first taste of fall seasonals and it’s DC Beer Week. It doesn’t get much better than that.
So, grab some lawnmower beers for the hot days of August that are still to come. Finally try some of these fine tasting and refreshing beers before they’re gone. Enjoy them after doing some end of summer yard work or during that last ditch effort to get to the beach.
And, let’s be honest – the DMV has been spoiled this summer with beautiful weather and near-perfect temperatures. We’re more than due for some unbearably hot weather so grab a nice, crisp summer craft beer that will refresh and please the palette.
On the other side, while summer beers are leaving, fall beers are now filtering in weekly at Old Line. If you’re staying in for the evening, any number of the fall beers currently in store will make for a great compliment to your dinner or evening of relaxation.
The ‘big boys of fall’ are on the shelf now. This includes Sam Adams Octoberfest, Southern Tier Pumking and Schlafly Pumpkin Ale.
Keep an eye out for some of our favorite fall brews the next few times you visit Old Line. We’re particularly fond of Victory Festbier, Hofbräu Oktoberfestbier and that Schlafly Pumpkin Ale. It’s an exciting time of year to be a beer drinker!
Go outside and enjoy these lawnmower beers while you still can. In the evening, while you’re winding down to that night’s Nats or O’s game, relax with an early released fall brew. You really can’t go wrong at a time of year like this unless, of course, you don’t expand your horizons with the plethora of options at your fingertips!
